Gratitude To God

Abraham Lincoln often spent the better part of his day in appointments with the average person on the street. One day an elderly woman with no official business asked to see him. He asked her how he might be of service to her. She explained that she sought no favor from him. She explained that she had heard he liked cookies and so she had baked some and brought them to him. Lincoln with tears said, "You're the first person who has come to me who wanted nothing. I thank you from the bottom of my heart."

   I wonder how excited God must get when we don't bring a list of requests but rather just gratitude for his love for us. But then I wonder if that ever happens?!
