Join us Sundays at Collegeside!
On Campus : 8:00am and 10:15am
Online beginning at 9:00am

We miss being together. As the leadership of Collegeside begins to prayerfully consider our plan to begin gathering again on campus. We ask that you engage in patient prayer. Pray first for this virus to disappear. Pray for our church as we try to walk with wisdom. Unfortunately, there are not plans that will please everyone. Our prayer is that we can partner together to make our transition back to live services an edifying, worshipful, and safe experience.

Thank you for worshipping with us online each week. Based on feedback, this has been well received during this time, and we want to make sure to continue to offer the same quality option as we move forward. We realize that many are eager to resume meeting together, but we also acknowledge that, at this time, the online option is the safest option. As we move through our phases, we encourage you to consider what is best for you and your family. We strongly recommend you consider the guidelines provided by the CDC and the Governor's Office in Tennessee.  This means if you feel sick or have any symptoms, please stay home and worship with us online.  If you are over the age of 65 or have a health condition that makes you more vulnerable to COVID-19, please consider the online service as your first option.

We plan to gather together again in phases. As we move forward, we will continue to monitor what's happening around us and adjust accordingly. We understand that every family is unique. Please use your best judgment in deciding how your family will move through this time. We all walk through this season with differing levels of understanding and concern. Please be patient with us and each other. Be kind. Be loving. Pray for us. We are praying for you daily.

PHASE ONE : ONLINE ASSEMBLY ONLY - Continuing through May 17th
Online only will continue this Sunday, May 17th.
We will continue to pre-record and produce our weekly assembly until we enter phase four. At that time, we will begin to reintroduce the live stream assembly on YouTube.

PHASE TWO : GROUP MEETINGS - May 24th and 31st

In phase three, The building will reopen for Sunday morning assemblies. Two assembly times will be offered to allow for social distancing and the 50% capacity recommendation should the numbers dictate. Services will be held at 8:00AM and 10:15AM. The Online Worship Service will be available at 9:00AM and can be watched throughout the day at

At each assembly, two spaces will be offered.
The CLC (Gymnasium) will be a safe space. In this space, we encourage everyone to use their best judgement on mitigating risk.
  • We will adhere to the spacing recommendations, encouraging 2 empty seats between social bubble groups (family or social groups who have isolated together).
  • Our rows are placed at an appropriate distance apart.
  • We will have a maximum of 400 seats per service (50% of our capacity).
  • Although face coverings will not be required in this space, you are encouraged to wear one (especially if you choose to sing).
  • The main entrance into the foyer as well as all doors into the CLC will be propped open to allow for maximum entry points.
  • Restrooms will be open but congregating in the halls will not be allowed. The water fountain will not be available.

The Auditorium will be offered as our safest space. This space will be available for the 8:00am service. In this space:
  • Face coverings will be required.
  • The worship assembly will be streamed in.
  • We will adhere to spacing recommendations by having limited rows available for seating.
  • The auditorium entrances at the front and back of the auditorium will be reserved for this assembly only.
  • This space is recommended for those with the highest risk including those over 65 and those with underlying medical issues.

The following applies to both the Auditorium and CLC
  • Communion supplies will be provided at your seat when you arrive. We will not pass any trays. Feel free to bring your own communion supplies as well.
  • We will share our offering using secure boxes located around the room. If you have the ability to give online, we encourage that as the primary option.
  • Please avoid handshakes and hugs. Arriving prepared to social distance appropriately will help everyone assemble safely and comfortably.
  • Bulletins and Children's Activity Pages will be available at your seats as you arrive. We will not have a pick up area at the entrances.

During this phase
  • There will be no children's or adult Bible classes offered at this time.
  • There will be no Children's worship or Focus. We will continue to provide a children's lesson incorporated into our live assembly during this time.
  • An attended nursery will not be provided, but space for those needed to take care of their own children will be provided.
  • Wednesday night classes will remain suspended. John's Wednesday night lessons online will continue on YouTube.
  • The church building will remain closed to reservations and other ministry meetings during this time. This will allow us to sanitize and prepare confidently for our Sunday assembly.
  • A sanitization team will prepare our worship spaces before and after each assembly.

In phase four, we will return to an assembly plan that, as much as possible in our new situation, reflects the assemblies prior to March 1.
As has always been the case, attendance, among other factors dictates whether that will be in one assembly or multiple assemblies.
