Tomato: A Fruit or Vegetable?

Is a tomato a fruit or a vegetable?  The Supreme Court had to make that decision in a case in 1893. I wish they might make these kind of decisions instead of those that destroy our country.

The case came about because vegetables imported into this country were taxed but fruits were not taxed. The court decided both ways. By nature, tomatoes were fruits of the vine. They were like berries in that they had seeds. Botanists said the tomato was a fruit. But the court pointed out that practically speaking people treat a tomato as a vegetable. They serve them with dinner, rather than as a dessert. So the vegetable tax law on tomatoes was upheld.

God has a way of distinguishing true Christians, "You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?...Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits " (Matt. 7:16-20)

People can know us by the fruit we bear, and they do watch us. Are you living the Christian  life before men? If not, are you ready to repent and begin bearing good fruit?
