The Son Shines

The day wakes, the sun shines. We stand amazed and in honor that God allowed us to rise on such a beautiful January day. The clock is ticking, and we press forward to the next commitment with a smile and in thanksgiving. Tragedy strikes, heroes respond selflessly. We pause to pray, to consider the lifelong question of why?

It is then that God delivers this word from His word to a firefighter on the scene of a horrific, life altering event through his Bible app.

2 Corinthians 4:18
18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

We praise God. We worship Him with all that we have and we see how diligently He has fought and is fighting for our eternal souls. The broken world alone will leave us only broken.
As we back up and capture a few more verses from this text, allow God to speak to you in your situations: past, present, and  future. God has this and we will not understand, but through Jesus, we will be taken home when we breath our last. Commit to Him as He is committed to you.

2 Corinthians 4:16
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

True Story. Real Life. Jesus is the only way. Believe it.
