Is Your Name Written There?

On our paper money is the name of the current Secretary of the Treasury. His signature makes our money official tender. In 1979 the Secretary was Michael Blumenthal. He and his wife enjoyed an expensive meal at a restaurant in San Francisco. He gave the waiter his credit card who returned to say that his card had expired. Then the Secretary offered to pay by check. The waiter informed him that the restaurant did not accept an out of town check without a guarantee of signature. Secretary Blumenthal pulled out a dollar bill and showed the waiter his signature. The signatures were compared and his check was accepted without further question.

Someday God will check to see if our name is written in the Lamb's book of life. The Bible says, "Rejoice that your names are written in heaven. " (Luke 10:20) Someday you will arrive at the home of God. How good it will be to hear God say, "Yes, I recognize this one. He belongs here because his name is written here." Will your name be written there?
